Running in Memory of our Grandmothers

Hello all!

Harrison & Kirsten here. Just wanted to let you all know how appreciative we are of everyone who has come to our page to donate or just learn more about Alzheimer's and it's terrible impact it has on millions of people, their families, and loved ones around the world.

This disease is very close to both of us, as each of us lost one of our Grandmother's to Alzheimer's/Dementia. Kirsten's Grandmother Peggy Karner passed away in 2019, at the age of 95 after a long battle with the disease. Harrison's Grandmother Anne Casey (Nonna), died earlier this year in June, at the age of 86. Both of these women were strong, New Jerseyan, independent women. We think about each of them daily, and are trying to do our part to raise money to help eradicate this disease and help fund research and treatments for those currently suffering from Alzheimer's. 

We appreciate any generosity you can provide, but regardless of if you can donate or not, we appreciate you taking the time to learn more about this disease and all of the great things that the Alzheimer's Association is doing. They have lots of great literature on the website that we recommend you check out!

By participating in this event, we've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.

Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.

Please support our efforts by making a donation.
