Welcome to my virtual luminary page
I’m participating in The Longest Day to fundraise for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. In honor of the winter solstice on December 21, I created a luminary to shine a light on the darkness of Alzheimer’s. I lost my mother to Alzheimer's a year and a half ago and my husband's mother is now struggling through the middle stages. Through the work of the Alzheimer's Association, I hope that some day others will not have to suffer through this painful disease.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, including more than 6 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 11 million friends and family members are providing their care. Please support me in the fight to end Alzheimer’s with a donation today. Thank you!
