💜 In Memory of Robert Morris – Join Me in the Fight Against Alzheimer’s 💜

This year, I finally faced and began to grieve the loss of the most influential people in my life.

I took the first steps—visiting their grave for the first time since we buried them, writing them letters, talking about them, and allowing myself to shed the tears that needed to be shed. Each step has helped me begin crossing the bridge to healing.

Though they passed a few years ago, I still miss them dearly—every single day. And today, as I begin to heal, I also begin to celebrate them. I celebrate those walking this path beside me—those who need support, who need hope, and who need to know they’re not alone.

My Pop, Robert Morris, fought a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. And by his side through it all was his biggest supporter, his loving wife and caretaker, Alice—strong, steady, and selfless.

Now, they’re together again—dancing under the stars and watching over us.

Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease. I watched it slowly steal the mind, strength, and dignity of the most incredible man I’ve ever known. As it progressed, I saw the fear in his eyes grow. It was heartbreaking.

For those left behind—who stay mentally present as their loved ones fade—it’s a long, painful goodbye. You lose them twice: once to the disease, and again when they’re gone.

I often think of the families still in the middle of that journey—those who show up every day with love, patience, and silent pain. This fight is for them too.

That’s why I’m asking for your support.

This year, I’ve committed to raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association®—to help advance care, support families, and push research toward better treatment, prevention, and ultimately, a cure.

More than 6 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s. That number is projected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. We can’t ignore this. We must act now.
