I'm fundraising for my Grammy
Grammy was the most loving, supportive, and fun person. She showed up to every soccer game, every dance recital, and every life event; no matter how small. She said "yes" to anything we wanted to buy when we were shopping and even bought a new car just so she could fit all seven of her grandchildren. We saw this disease slowly take away the Grammy that we knew.
I'm excited to run the Philadelphia half marathon in support of the Alzheimer's Association. This will be my second half marathon and I know Grammy would have been there cheering me on the entire time.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
