I am so excited to be running the Philadelphia Half Marathon in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart! By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the Alzheimer’s Association's care, support, and research efforts.
A few years ago, my grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. My grandpa has been a constant and incredibly important part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I feel so lucky to have grown up with him.
Watching Alzheimer’s affect someone who means so much to me has been incredibly difficult. It has also given me a deeper understanding of the impact this disease has on individuals, families, and caregivers. My experiences with my grandfather have contributed to my interest in neurology and my desire to care for patients and families facing neurological conditions in the future.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to supporting families affected by Alzheimer’s and advancing research toward a future without this disease. Thank you for helping me run for a cause that means so much to me!
