My Nana, was very petite, she wasn’t even 5 feet tall. She was tiny, but she was mighty! She got through so many difficult times throughout her life, including the great depression, raising four children, while working full-time, but sadly she was no match for Alzheimer’s disease. It was my first experience with this horrific disease and it left a lasting terrible impression, even before it gripped my mom and sadly, took her as well. I have fond memories of my Nana, she was an inspiration, a strong woman with a good heart. She is loved and missed every day! Since her death, they’ve learned a lot more about Alzheimer’s disease, but still not enough to find a cure. That’s why it’s so important to make donations to keep the research going, because no one deserves to suffer with Alzheimer’s disease.
