Papa Vern passed away after a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer’s. While the disease slowly took pieces of him, it never took away the love he gave or the impact he had on our lives. We choose to remember him for who he was before the illness—and for the legacy of kindness, family, and resilience he leaves behind.
