Robert Wallace Rack, 71, of Madison, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. Born on August 28, 1954, in Perth Amboy, NJ, Robert was the beloved son of the late Wallace and June (Chervenak) Rack. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Engineering from Rutgers University, of which he was a passionate alumnus. Robert founded his own company and served as the proud president of Rack Design Group (RDG), where he dedicated many zealous years to developing label vision systems. Robert was a loyal and passionate sports fan, especially when it came to Rutgers Football and Basketball. He also enjoyed cheering on the New Jersey Devils, the Green Bay Packers, and followed NASCAR and stock car racing with enthusiasm. Robert was an avid fan of Bruce Springsteen and also enjoyed pursuing his love of photography. Above all, Robert cherished his family. He is survived by his two devoted daughters, Amanda and her husband, Kelly Harrington, and Bethany and her husband, Tory Bingaman. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Thomas Rack and his wife, Maryanne; Gary Rack and his wife, Joanne; Eric Rack and his wife, Debbie; and his sister, Lori Rack, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly. Robert’s Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Route 206), Chester, NJ 07930. A funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately by his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
