Forever Remembered - David Sackett

David was a truly special person in the lives of so many, especially his family. His love for Zelma—his wife of 73 years—was always first in his heart and foremost in his mind. Everything he did, he did with wholehearted commitment, whether it was caring for the people he loved or pursuing his passion for golf. He spent decades perfecting his game, earning both skill and a well-loved reputation among his friends. We take comfort in knowing he is now resting peacefully, somewhere the greens are beautifully kept and the fairways stretch out, inviting one more perfect drive. We will always remember his favorite phrase: “You drive for show and you putt for dough.” And we can still hear his contagious laugh—the kind that wrapped around everyone nearby and often ended in happy tears. No one could resist its joy once it began. He is forever in our hearts, and we will smile as we share the memories he leaves with us. We hope everyone whose life he touched will also smile and remember their happiest moments with him. We will miss you, Dad. We can’t wait to see you again.
