Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.

Meaningful. Gratitude

Hi All, 

I only had a slight inkling of how meaningful it might be to dedicate this year‘s Camels Hump challenge to my grandfather, Papa. There has already been some wonderful sharing of memories of him, and how he made me and my siblings and cousins feel as youngsters.

My grandmother, Papa‘s wife Ganny, outlived him by 28 years. She was revered, still is, as the best of matriarchs, kind yet exacting, and sharp as a tack until her late 90s; she lived to 105.

As a result of all those extra years we had with Ganny, we knew her well into our adulthoods. Not so with Papa. So The shared memories of him from childhood are really special.

Gratitude to the Camels hump Challenge for catalyzing this remembrance. And gratitude to the Alzheimer’s association for their important work.
