It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my mom JoAnn Shapiro. After a very rough road battling Alzheimer’s, she is now in a better place and back with my dad, the love of her life, with whom she shared over 40 years of love, laughs, travels, great food, delicious wine, friends and family. In my mom’s honor, we will continue to support the critical work of the Alzheimer’s Association: providing care and support for families, advancing promising research and offering a lifeline through their free 24/7 Helpline. Together, we can keep her memory alive, support families facing Alzheimer’s, and work toward a future without this disease. I'd be so grateful if you would make a memorial gift in her name. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity xo

What a soft, gentle, kind soul JoAnn was, and I like to imagine her reunited with your Dad. I have no doubt they are both looking down and smiling at this beautiful effort you are making to help find a cure for this cruel disease. You are the best. XOXO
