Honoring Gloria Marquez’s Beautiful Life & Her Journey with Alzheimer’s

Our beloved Gloria Marquez lived a beautiful life — full of grace, laughter, joy, and style. She was the most well-dressed woman in any room — heels with every outfit (even shorts!), red lipstick, red nails, and a smile that lit up every place she walked into. She had a presence that couldn’t be ignored and a heart that never stopped giving. My Tita, Gloria, loved her family deeply. In college, she would mail me cookbooks because she knew how much I loved to cook and bake — and she always tucked away a little hidden $20 or $50 surprise inside (our little secret). She laughed often, danced whenever music played, and treasured every moment with her family. She also lived a life of purpose. In Brownsville, Texas, she proudly served and gave back to her community. Later in life, when she married her late husband, Manuel Marquez, their adventures continued as they moved to Florida and spent years traveling and living life to the fullest. She carried her faith, her strength, and her elegance wherever she went. In her later years, my Tita Gloria faced Alzheimer’s and dementia — a journey that slowly took pieces of her from us. But even through the challenges, her love remained. Her spirit remained. And we know how proud she would be to have her memory help others who are walking this path. That’s why we created this tribute page: to honor her legacy and support families affected by Alzheimer’s, advance critical research, and help bring hope to others who are going through this battle. Every donation, in any amount, helps ensure that no one faces Alzheimer’s alone. If you choose to give in her memory, our family is deeply grateful. My Tita Gloria truly lived a beautiful life. And through this tribute, her love continues. Thank you for helping us honor Gloria Marquez — her life, her strength, and her journey. 💜 A future without Alzheimer’s is possible — let’s work toward it together.
