After losing our mother to Alzheimer’s disease, we wanted to honor her life in a way that recognised both who she was and the illness that shaped her final years. Alzheimer’s took much from her over time, and its impact on our family was profound.We are deeply grateful for the specialist dementia support our mother received after moving to the memory care floor at the Loretto Health and Rehabilitation Center. There, she found renewed vitality, happiness, and friendship during an otherwise dark period of illness. The care, dignity, and consistency she received eased the burden on us as a family and brought her a sense of comfort and connection.By creating this tribute page, we hope to turn our loss into something meaningful by supporting the work of the Alzheimer’s Association.
