Please support Alzheimer research in honor of our mother, Linda Grochowalski.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Linda Grochowalski, on October 30, 2025. Linda was a remarkable woman and trailblazer. Raised in a single-parent home, she became the first in her family to graduate from college. From spirited cheerleader to devoted wife, she was her husband’s greatest supporter as he became Assumption College’s all-time leading scorer, rebounder, and eventual NBA draftee. Together, they built a life full of love and adventure, including nine unforgettable years in Italy during John's professional basketball career. A passionate writer and avid reader, she hosted a writer’s group for over a decade, crafting beautiful short stories and novels. Linda furthered her education with an MBA from Simmons College and an MFA from Pacific University, later imparting her knowledge as an English Professor at Assumption College and Quinsigamond Community College. A cancer survivor, she managed numerous committees and sports teams while raising three children. Yet, beyond these achievements, two aspects truly defined her: an unwavering love for her family and her profound faith. Linda's greatest gift was her ability to ensure her family never lacked anything. She never missed a game or practice, always putting her faith and family first. Her love was a constant in our lives, teaching us invaluable lessons through her actions and words. We hope you will join us in the fight to end Alzheimer's / Dementia in Linda Grochowalski's name. By raising funds to support the Alzheimer's Association's work, you are providing care, advancing promising research, and offering new and seasoned families the lifeline of education during this challenging journey. No one should face Alzheimer's alone. A future without Alzheimer's is out there. Maybe we can get there, together. Love, the Grochowalskis
