In Memory of Noah's Grandparents in honor of his Bar Mitzvah

On September 20th, I will have the honor of becoming a Bar Mitzvah. This is a milestone in the Jewish community that symbolizes becoming an adult by reading from the Torah. The Torah teaches us about "mitzvot", or good deeds. As part of my Mitzvah project, I am raising money for the Alzheimer's Association in memory of my grandparents who lead a brave fight with this devastating disease.

When I was born, I was so lucky to have had all four of my grandparents - Pop Seth, Grandma Elayne, Pop, and Ema. Over the years, one by one, they each suffered from Alzheimer's. I lost my grandparents slowly over time, each of them robbed of their memories, but never of the love they had for me.

Please consider making a donation of any size. My dream is that one day, there will be a cure for Alzheimer's and no one will suffer in the way that my loved ones did. I am so fortunate to have had them in my life for the time that I did, and I will make sure to keep their memory alive - Pop Seth's funny voices he made when playing with a Gonzo doll and telling about his travels to Italy, Grandma Elayne's love for sharing hostess cupcakes with me and soft spot for animals, Pop's incredible fashion sense and full head of grey hair, and Ema's most gentle nature and genuine love for her family.

The number of people living with Alzheimer's is growing quickly. With more than 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's today, and nearly 12 million unpaid caregivers, almost all of us know someone affected by the disease in some way. Because nearly 13 million Americans are projected to develop Alzheimer's by 2050, I decided it was time to do my part to help change the trajectory of this devastating disease. I joined the fight against Alzheimer's by creating this online fundraising page, and I'm fundraising for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

This is where you come in, because I hope you'll support me with a gift today. From the Association's free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) to compassionate support groups to promising new research, your donation will go to work in the fight against Alzheimer's right away.

I'm committed to making a difference to help end Alzheimer's. Your gift would mean a lot to me and those facing this relentless disease.

A future without Alzheimer's is out there. Let's get there, together.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
