In Memory of James P. Flynn: Continuing the Fight Against Alzheimer’s

We created this page in loving memory of our dad and grandpa, James Flynn.

Alzheimer’s was, in many ways, a long goodbye. Over the course of ten years, we slowly watched the disease take pieces of him, little by little. It was heartbreaking to witness, but through it all, our love for him never changed - and neither did the impact he had on our lives. This journey taught us something we carry with us every day: to appreciate the moment we’re in, to hold onto the small things, and to truly live in the here and now. Even as so much changed, the time we spent with him - especially in those quiet, simple moments - became more meaningful than ever. He was so deeply loved by all of us, and he remains a constant presence in our hearts. We miss him more than words can say. We wanted to honor him in a way that could help other families walking this same path. If you feel moved to do so, we would be incredibly grateful for a donation in James’s memory. Every contribution helps bring us closer to a future without Alzheimer’s. Thank you for remembering him with us, and for supporting a cause that means so much to our family. With love, Colleen Amberg, Kathy Kirk, and the whole Flynn family
