As you know, Larry has been part of my life since we met as teachers at Sheepshead Bay HS in the early ‘70’s. I admired and loved him as both a colleague and a friend. My heart is broken. Larry Strickler was the best teacher I ever had or knew. He was my 8th and 9th grade teacher at Seth Low JHS in his first years of teaching. I loved him. May his memory be a blessing.

I knew Larry since 1951 when we both performed on the Versatile Varieties TV show and then at Lincoln and Brooklyn College. Even then he was always upbeat, warm and friendly, When we met again years later in Florida, it appeared that he never lost that special quality.
