In Memory of Dad, Andrew E. Reed, (October 7, 1945 - November 25, 2025) who loved his wife, Jan Reed.

In honor of our dad, we invite you to consider supporting Alzheimer’s awareness and research. Dad was a devoted husband—faithful and steady, even when my mom no longer recognized him. He always asked how she was doing and wanted nothing more than to sit with her, hold her hand, and be near her, even while facing his own health challenges. She was the love of his life. They met in high school, went their separate ways for college, and found their way back to each other—marrying on December 9, 1967. Together they raised three children and made their home in Midland, Texas. Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 65. As Mom’s Alzheimer’s progressed and dad's ability to care for her declined, we moved them to Houston in 2022 so we could help care for her and he could focus on his health. For years, Dad traveled month after month, doing everything he could to prolong the effects of Alzheimer’s and preserve Mom’s quality of life. His love, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment will always be part of our family’s legacy. By taking this step, I'm raising funds to support the critical work of the Alzheimer's Association: providing care and support for families, advancing promising research and offering a lifeline through their free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900). Every dollar raised helps ensure that no one faces Alzheimer's alone. We would be so grateful if you would make a memorial gift in their name. It would mean a lot to us and those facing this relentless disease. A future without Alzheimer's is out there. Let's get there, together. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
