In Loving Memory of Pam

Pam was a woman who expressed her love through her hands. A devoted quilter, she spent years making many beautiful quilts for her family and her friends. In time she found a new passion, making pillowcases to sell at craft shows. Through these beautiful quilts and pillowcases, she filled the lives of the people around her with warmth, color, and care, one stitch at a time. She was loving, kind, and a woman of deep faith who rarely missed a Sunday at church.

Alzheimer’s came slowly, and over the course of a decade it took her away piece by piece. First her independence, then her words, then the woman her family had always known. But it could not take the love she had woven into every quilt she ever made, or the impression she left on everyone who knew her.

Through it all, her husband Ron cared for her every single day in their home. Getting her up each morning, feeding her meals, and caring for her in whatever way she needed. His sister Sally was a constant presence as well, and the three of them shared a simple joy in going out to eat together, a routine they treasured until Pam could no longer leave the house. In those later days, they spent countless hours simply sitting with her, visiting and being present. It was important to Ron that she remain at home, surrounded by family and love. He always said, “Pam would have done the same for me if the roles were reversed.”

After years of watching Alzheimer’s take Pam away from us, our family knew we wanted to honor her memory in a way that would truly make a difference.  That's why we joined the fight to end this devastating disease by creating this tribute page in her name.

By taking this step, we’re raising funds to support the critical work of the Alzheimer's Association: providing care and support for families, advancing promising research and offering a lifeline through their free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900). Every dollar raised helps ensure that no one faces Alzheimer's alone.

We'd be so grateful if you would make a memorial gift in her name. It would mean a lot to us and those facing this relentless disease.

A future without Alzheimer's is out there. Let's get there, together.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
