In Loving Memory of Pat — Fierce, Funny, and Forever Loved

My mother Patricia, Pat to everyone who knew her, was many things: a woman with a big personality, a quick wit, a devoted grandmother, and an adventurer who never met a destination she didn't want to explore. She loved movies, lost herself in books, and never said no to a good margarita.

For four years, we watched dementia try to take her from us piece by piece. It couldn't take her spirit, but we lost her yesterday, and the world is quieter for it.

I created this page to honor her memory in a way that means something. Every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer's Association's critical work, funding research, providing care resources for families in the thick of this fight, and keeping their free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) available for anyone who needs it.

Mom deserved better than this disease. So does every family walking this road right now.
