Honoring the Life and Legacy of William “Bill” Rheyne — A Man of Strength, Faith, and Family

William “Bill” Rheyne lived 96 incredible years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering determination. Growing up on his family’s farm, Bill learned early on the value of hard work and the joy of simple living — especially when surrounded by those he loved most.

He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was affectionately known as “Dad” by many beyond his own family. A colon cancer survivor, Bill embodied perseverance. Even after a serious car accident that broke his back, he amazed everyone by walking the Survivor’s Lap at his local Relay For Life event just weeks later.

Bill loved his John Deere tractors, Ohio State and Notre Dame football, and never missed a chance to talk about Joe Burrow and the Bengals. His faith, humor, and strength touched everyone who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and family pride.

This page is a tribute to a life well-lived and a heart well-loved. Donations made here will help support Alzheimer’s research and bring hope to families walking the same journey Bill and ours faced.
