Forever Loved: Celebrating Rich's Life and Legacy
Alzheimer’s has touched our family for generations. Rich’s mother, Stella, lived with the disease for many years, and a decade ago Rich began his own battle with memory decline.
For someone who built his own business and worked faithfully for decades, it was heartbreaking when he could no longer do what he loved. Even the simple drive to and from work — one he had made almost daily for so many years — became too uncertain.
Though Alzheimer’s slowly took away pieces of the life Rich loved, it could never take away the love he poured into his family. We honor his strength, his devotion, and the legacy he leaves behind.
We share our story in the hope that someday no family will have to endure the long goodbye of Alzheimer’s.
To honor Rich’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, helping to advance vital research and protect future generations from this devastating disease.
Please join us in celebrating Rich’s life. Visitation Wednesday, August 27, 4:00-8:00 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry (815-385-0063). Funeral Mass and burial Thursday, August 28, 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Cemetery, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg (815-385-1477). All are invited to go directly to the Church for the Mass.
God Bless You Rich....Thank You for all you did for your Family, Your Company and the Business Friends you supported. You will be missed.
