My wonderful mom, Jodi, who passed this April of early-onset Alzheimer's, six years after her diagnosis.
My mom was a stellar lawyer, mother, sister, wife, and daughter. She had great taste in TV shows, liked having a glass of wine with a friend (white or rosé), always called you to check in, was forgiving, never minced words, loved the Mets, danced with both hands in the air, and never missed an opportunity to tell those she loved how much she loved them. More importantly, she loved these things about herself. And she loved her life. Except for her ability to say how much she loved you, which endured to the end and beyond, Alzheimer's stole everything from her.
