I'm fundraising in honor of my mother-in-law Liz Kamens
When I first met my wife Melissa in 2017, her mother Liz was already in late stages of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Liz was diagnosed in 2010 after a few years of showing early-stage memory impairment. For over a decade, Melissa witnessed her mother deteriorate from this heartbreaking illness.
Liz passed in 2019. To this day, I love to hear stories from Melissa about her childhood experience with her mother. I’ve learned that before her illness, she was gentle and soft spoken, with a
sense of humor reserved for those she held close. I wish that I could have known Liz, and I am honored to be running for a cause that Melissa and I are deeply connected to.
Please donate to help the Alzheimer’s Association find a cure to this devastating condition. Your support means everything!
