In loving memory of my Mommy, Betty Lou Hudson, who faced each day with courage and a smile. I can only imagine the frustration she experienced. She always taught us not to let external conditions or people change who you are. I am sure that’s how she tried to approach this disease. We were lucky that she never forgot who we were and that we kept at home. We were both with her and had the chance to pray, play music, and provide words of affirmation as she made her transition. She went peacefully in her sleep with a smile. I know my Daddy, Kitty, Papa, Mama, & a host of loved ones greeted her at the pearly gates Love you Mommy!!! Deidra 💜🙏🏽💜

Betty L.H. Hudson was a true legend of her generation and much appreciated by many that crossed paths with her. Her legacy and work speak for itself. I met Mrs. Hudson as a college freshman in the late 80's. I quickly became a regular visitor. She always welcomed me into her home and usually provided a delicious meal! Her Southern hospitality and huge family reminded me a lot of my own! She quickly become like family to me. I will cherish the many times I visited her and will miss her warm and welcoming spirit.

Rest peacefully Mema. I remain grateful for the love & kindness you showed me and I will continue to send love, light, and prayers to all you loved you.
