New year, new organization, SAME me! I will be running the NYC Marathon this November with #TeamAlz !
I want to thank you in advance for your interest in supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. It is an organization that helps patients and their families/friends access resources within their community when they receive this diagnosis.
My Grandpa Denis was diagnosed with this terrible disease in the 2000s, at a time when there was nothing to offer patients for treatment. There have been some medications to come to market to help slow the progression of this disease, but there is still so much work to do!
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease. In the last 10 years, there are has been significant progress in research and other developments around the world — but there is still no cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.
By participating in the 2026 NYC Marathon, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®!
Every dollar donated will enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease!!
