By participating in this event, I’ve committed to raising awareness and funds to support the care, advocacy, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

Working in assisted living at Gemstone Senior Living Communities has truly changed my life and my perspective. I began my journey as a manager, working closely with residents and families every single day, and today I have the honor of serving as the Regional Business Office Manager, working alongside our CEO to help support our communities and the incredible individuals we care for.

No matter how much my role has grown, one thing has never changed — my love and passion for our residents. Every day, I have the privilege of caring for individuals who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia. They are so much more than a diagnosis; they are mothers, fathers, grandparents, veterans, teachers, best friends, and people with beautiful stories and memories that deserve to be cherished and protected.

Being able to walk alongside our residents and support their families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives is something I will never take for granted. The relationships I’ve built throughout my journey in senior living have touched my heart deeply, and they are the reason this cause means so much to me personally.

This opportunity to raise awareness is incredibly important to me because I witness firsthand how devastating Alzheimer’s disease can be — not only for those diagnosed, but for the families and loved ones who care for them. At the same time, I also get to witness extraordinary strength, resilience, compassion, and love every single day.

Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and that number is expected to rise to nearly 13 million by 2050. We must continue fighting for better care, support, research, treatments, and ultimately a cure.
