Kathleen McKeown Mulligan

Kathleen McKeown Mulligan, born April 19, 1946, passed away on December 12, 2025. She was affectionately known as "Miss Kathleen" by her nurses; and was deeply loved by her family, friends, and the many lives she touched. Kathleen born in Benton Harbor, MI and moved to Pomona, CA in 1954, She graduated from Pomona High School in 1964. While in school she met ..."The Girls", Dixie, Barbara, Carol, Connie, PJ, Jean, Judy, and Susan, and remained friends for life. She later attended Chaffey College and became a dental technician before dedicating herself to raising her three sons, Paul, Dan, and John Gilkey. When her children were older, she pursued a second career as a piano tuner, a profession she practiced for many years throughout the Inland Empire, serving private clients, churches, and educational institutions. Her sons now carry on that legacy. In 2012, Kathleen reconnected with Greg Mulligan, and the attraction was immediate. They married in August 2012. Together they shared a love of travel, enjoying journeys throughout the United States and abroad, including Europe, Alaska, and New England. After 7 years at Lake Arrowhead, they settled in Rancho Cucamonga, where Kathleen especially loved watching sunsets from her patio. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Greg Mulligan; her sons Paul, Dan, and John Gilkey; her daughter-in-law Stine; stepdaughter Amanda Mulligan; grandchildren Logan, Luka, Samantha, Elijah, and Olivia; her brothers Bill and Ed McKeown and Ed's wife Carol; and her niece Alison Rauchfuss and her family. Kathleen was known for her generosity, kindness, musical talent, and warm spirit. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. by her family and friends.
