I'm fundraising for all of those affected by Alzheimer's disease and to accelerate care and research for cognitive health
Alzheimer's has touched people I love deeply, and running this race is my way of honoring them. Every mile is a chance to raise awareness, fund critical research, and push toward a world with better treatments, better care, and one day, a cure.
I feel incredibly lucky to be in a position to take on something as demanding as the NYC Marathon, and I acknowledge there are people out there that aren't in the same position as me. Every hard training run, every early morning, every moment I want to quit, I remind myself about those who can't push through a finish line of their own. That's what keeps me moving.
If this disease has affected your family too, you know why this matters. And if it hasn't, I hope it never does.
By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
