Donna Sue Hardin
Donna Sue Hardin, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation in Owensboro, KY.Donna was born July 23, 1939, in Richland, Indiana to the late Daniel and Grace Magee. She graduated from Luce Township High School and the University of Evansville where she earned a master’s in education. Donna enjoyed many activities including needlecraft, leathercraft, computer programming, and all types of animals including her pug dogs, quarter horses, sheep, and her beloved pet pig. She also enjoyed many types of music and loved playing piano and organ. After retirement, Donna began playing golf and developed a real love for the game.
Donna worked as a teacher (Mrs. Fulks) in the Spencer County Indiana School Corporation for 28 years, retiring in 1998. She was instrumental in setting up the first computer lab at South Spencer Middle School and loved teaching science and computer classes. She was also a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband James Hardin, brother Fred Magee, her grandson Andrew Fulks, and her daughter-in-law, Paula Fulks.
Donna is survived by her children, Patrick Timothy Fulks (Wendy) of Louisiana, Phillip Gregory Fulks (Laurie) of Florida, and Keith Alan “Willy” Fulks (Chasidy), of Kentucky; her grandchildren, Megan Fulks Hill (Jonathan), Cory Fulks (Christian), Ryan Fulks (Morgan), Aaron Fulks, Madison Fulks, Keith Fulks Jr., granddaughter-in-law Katie Fulks Cornell, and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, April 15 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 11:00 to 1:00 on Wednesday, April 15th at the funeral home.
