I'm fundraising for...
By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
My Updates
26.2 Miles for a Cause Bigger Than Me
On November 1, 2026, I will stand at the starting line of the TCS New York City Marathon and attempt something that, not long ago, I never imagined myself doing: running 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of New York City.
But this journey has become about much more than running a marathon.
I am incredibly proud to be running as part of TEAM EndALZ in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause that has a very personal meaning to me.
My grandmother on my mother’s side lived with Alzheimer’s disease before she passed away. My family experienced firsthand how devastating this disease can be—not only for the person living with it, but also for the family members who love and care for them.
That is why when the opportunity came to combine my first marathon with supporting the fight against Alzheimer’s, it felt like the right journey for me.
From Feeling Lost to Finding Running
My own journey to this starting line has been unexpected.
There was a period when I felt lost and knew I needed to make changes in my life. I started focusing more seriously on my health and fitness, and somewhere along the way, I found running.
At first, running was simply exercise.
Then it became an escape.
Eventually, it became something I genuinely loved.
Running taught me discipline, patience, and that meaningful progress happens one day at a time. I went from running a few miles to racing 5Ks, completing a half marathon distance, and eventually running more than 16 miles in training.
Now I'm preparing for my biggest challenge yet: 26.2 miles in New York City.
Every Mile Will Mean Something
When training gets difficult—and I know it will—I'll remember why I'm doing this.
I'll run for my grandmother.
I'll run for the families currently watching someone they love battle Alzheimer’s.
I'll run for the caregivers who give so much of themselves every day.
And I'll run to support the research, care, advocacy, and resources that can bring us closer to a future without Alzheimer’s.
Over the coming months, I'll be sharing the entire journey: the early mornings, long runs, speed workouts, difficult days, milestones, and ultimately the streets of New York City.
I'm also using this opportunity to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Every donation, regardless of the amount, contributes to a cause that affects millions of individuals and families.
If you've followed my fitness journey, encouraged me on a run, or been inspired to start your own journey, I'm asking you to join me for this next chapter.
You don't have to run 26.2 miles.
I'll take care of that part.
But you can be part of every mile by supporting my fundraiser, sharing my story, or simply helping spread awareness.
November 1, 2026. New York City. 26.2 miles.
For my grandmother.
For every family affected by Alzheimer’s.
And for the hope that one day, future generations won't have to experience what so many families have experienced.
Let’s End ALZ. 💜
