💙 March 15th is a meaningful day for our family. 💙
On March 15th, my daughter Lexy and I will be running the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, 13.1 miles through New York City.
March 15th is also my dad’s 89th birthday. My dad is living with advanced dementia. My greatest hope is that he gets to “see” his milestone 90th birthday and that through research and support, more families get precious time together.
This will be my first race and I am honestly pretty nervous.
I am nervous about 13.1 miles.
I am far more nervous about what this disease does to families.
My mother in law is also living with Alzheimer’s. We see firsthand how devastating these diseases are not just for those diagnosed but for everyone who loves them.
Running this race alongside my daughter Lexy, who is in medical school, makes it even more meaningful. As a future physician she sees the impact clinically and as a granddaughter and daughter she sees it in our own family.
If you feel moved to support this cause, any amount is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for helping us turn 13.1 miles into hope. 💙

Great work
