A Life Well Lived!

Joseph D. Morton was, to his core, a man of love and devotion. For more than ten years, he cared for his beloved wife, the late Nadean Brooks Morton, as she faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. He walked beside her every step of the way, tending to her needs with patience, strength, and an unshakable love.Joseph didn’t stop there—he reached out to others on the same path, offering advice, encouragement, and a listening ear to fellow caregivers. He understood how difficult the journey could be, and he wanted others to know they didn’t have to walk it alone. In the last two years of his life, Joseph faced Alzheimer’s himself. Even in those hard days, the strength and grace he had shown as a caregiver never left him. His life was a true example of resilience, compassion, and love that endures through every trial. To his family, Joseph was more than a father and grandfather—he was a steady presence, a teacher, and a role model. To all who knew him, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, a fighter, and a source of inspiration. In his memory, we are raising funds to support the critical work of the Alzheimer’s Association: providing care and support for families, advancing promising research, and offering a lifeline through their free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900). Every gift helps ensure that no one faces Alzheimer’s alone. A future without Alzheimer’s is possible - and together, we can get there. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
