In Loving Memory of Glenda

Born on a farm to the children of homesteaders in the Oklahoma land run of 1899, my mother Glenda devoted her life to her faith and the service of others. For many years she was an educator in both public school and higher education. Later, she devoted her career to the veterans of our armed forces and worked tirelessly to ensure every individual's dietary needs were met. 

Alzheimer's took not only my mother, but her mother Gretchen, her brother James, and her sister Loella as well. After our family lost my mom to her prolonged battle, I wanted to honor her memory and those of our lost loved ones in a way that would make a difference. That's why I created this tribute page in her name.

I'm taking this step to raise funds to support the critical work of the Alzheimer's Association: providing care and support for families, advancing promising research and offering a lifeline through their free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900). Every dollar helps ensure no one faces Alzheimer's alone.
