I'm fundraising for Kathleen, Kevin and everyone else affected by Alzheimers and dementia

This Saturday February 1^st, I'll be participating once again in the Camel's Hump Challenge, a 25 km backcountry traverse around the perimeter of Camel's Hump (3^rd highest peak in Vermont’s Green Mountains), to raise awareness for Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia. This premier backcountry ski event is organized each year by the Alzheimer's Association®, Vermont Chapter as a key fundraiser to advance the care, support and educational programs and services offered free of charge by the Vermont Chapter.

I’ll be skiing again in loving memory of Cecilia’s mom Kathleen, who succumbed to Alzheimer’s not long ago, and in honor and memory of my dear brother Kevin, my lifelong companion and guide, whose heroic struggle with severe dementia came to an end this past year.

Alzheimer’s disease is the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
