Team Disability Digest – Why We’re Taking on the Camel’s Hump Ski Challenge

Team Disability Digest is proud to take part in the Camel’s Hump Ski Challenge — not just for the miles we’ll cover, but for the purpose behind every stride.

Every one of us on this team has seen how Alzheimer’s and dementia can turn life upside down. Some of us are caring for loved ones. Some have lost family and friends. Others work every day helping people navigate disabilities, chronic conditions, and the long-term impact illness has on their independence and wellbeing.

We’re skiing because this disease isn’t just a statistic — it affects the very people we serve, support, and care about.

More than 6 million Americans currently live with Alzheimer’s. That number is expected to double in the coming decades. Families are stretched thin, caregivers are burning out, and too many people are facing this journey alone.

We want to change that.

By forming Team Disability Digest, we’ve committed to raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association so more families can access the education, support groups, resources, and guidance they need — all provided free of charge by the Alzheimer’s Association Vermont Chapter.

We’re asking for your support not just for us, but for every person and family facing the weight of Alzheimer’s.

Together, we can move this cause forward.
Together, we can give people hope, support, and the tools to stay connected and stay in life.

Thank you for supporting Team Disability Digest and joining us in the fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia.
