I run for Granny & Momma
I was introduced to the Alzheimer’s Association in 2009 and participated in my first activity (Run to Remember) in 2010. At the time my mother (Jean, Granny) was living with vascular dementia and my focus was supporting efforts to find a cure.
Since that initial run, my involvement has expanded over the years. I now lead BAYADA's partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, co-captain of our national walk team and chair the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter Community Leadership Board.
Recently, my mother-in-law (Barbara, Momma) lost her battle with dementia. Her situation encouraged me to expand my focus to include advocacy for patients, access to care and caregiver support..
This is why I walk and run!
