Paint the Town Purple - Greenwich

By Breanna Lundy Join Me

Greenwich is Going Purple!

Paint the Towns Purple began right here in Greenwich in 2019, and we are so proud of how this effort has grown thanks to the generosity and heart of our community.

Each June, Greenwich turns purple to raise awareness and support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Both businesses and individuals are invited to participate by making a donation, decorating in purple, or doing both!

This year’s collective goal is $50,000, raised between Greenwich, Salem, Granville and Schuylerville. Donations made in Greenwich will be matched dollar‑for‑dollar by the Lundy Legacy Foundation through June 21.

There are many ways to get involved:

  • Decorate your home or business in purple ( a "Best Purple Decor" winner is selected every year)
  • Make a donation to support the cause
  • Join us for our community walk on June 14 from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

For families who have been touched by Alzheimer’s or dementia, we invite you to visit our Facebook page for information about local resources and support available to you:
