Jerry and Ruth Ellsworth, my grandparents, are my why. At the end of their lives they both suffered memory issues, ending up in secured facilities, and passing peacefully while still under medical care.

We need to continue to conduct research to find a cure for this horrible disease. The "long good-bye" is something that deserves our attention. We need to know what we can do to prevent it, how better to treat and minimize its decline, and how to cure Alzheimer's - and I'll keep advocating until our day of freedom comes!

As we strive for a cure, I hope that you will come along side me in words of encouragement, being at this event, through financial contributions, or with your prayers and shares. Thank you all!

Thank you to all our supporters

Basic Event Details 1

Friday 30th Jan
Okay friends I've set up my event. It'll be a 2.2 mile walk at Bona Dea Trails (Veteran's Memorial entrance) on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th at 10am, meet up and check-in at 9:30. We'll start off on the Serendipity Trail, taking the Rabbit Run loop, through Prairie Creek, and back to the parking lot. This is an ADA paved trail, all are welcome and encouraged to participate. This is a family friendly event. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are also welcome at this park and trail system.

I'll get working with permitting and parks and recreation sometime next week to see what it will take to go from a family/friend gathering to an actual event. I don’t know the rules out here yet, but back home I could gather 25 people before I needed a permit.

As always, I'd love to see many people come together in support and fundraising to help find a cure for Alzheimers. My goal is $2700 this year. Thank you for your support, be it financial, physical, or prayers - I appreciate you!
