In memory of Mary Futchko
The Virginia Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa has been participating in fundraisers for the Alzheimer's Association for years. Over this time, we have endeavored to raise awareness and funds in Tappahannock / Essex County to help create a world without Alzheimer's Disease and all forms of dementia. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our donors, we have raised over $31,000 since 2017.
Our members have been touched in many ways by this disease. Several sisters have lost family members and others are now navigating their journey with this dreadful disease.
Our team has been successfully led by Mary Futchko, one of our chapter members. Mary's strong leadership and detailed planning guided us for years. Mary recently passed away and we are carrying the torch in her memory this year. We know that Mary is cheering for us from heaven.
