Hike for Cheryl

Alzheimer’s has become deeply personal to me through my mom. Watching someone you love face this disease is heartbreaking and life-changing, and it’s why I chose to be part of Paint the Peaks Purple.

On June 21, 2026, I’ll be hiking Shelving Rock Mountain, a place that means so much to me. It was the first—and only—mountain my mom ever hiked with me. When she reached the top, she was so proud and said, “You have to tell Francis Willis I climbed a mountain!” That moment is one of my most treasured memories.

This hike is about honoring my mom, holding onto the memories that matter, and helping raise awareness and funds to support families and advance Alzheimer’s research.
