The Reason for the Rumble!

Saturday 16th May
This year, Julie Stine Spagnolo and I are honored to participate once again in the Real Estate Rumble alongside my colleagues at Northrop Realty to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s research.
But this year is especially personal.
This year, we rumble in honor of my dad, Richard Stine — the official “mascot” of the Northrop Realty team, a proud Army MP who served in Europe between the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and one of the strongest, funniest, most loyal people I know.
My dad is currently living at the Delaware Veterans Home, where he continues to be surrounded by the love and respect he has earned over a lifetime of service, family, and friendship. He and my mom, Barbara, have been married for 67 years — a love story that has carried them through so many seasons of life, including this incredibly difficult one.
About eight years ago, Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. And I can say with complete honesty: this is a horrible disease. No family should have to watch someone they love slowly lose pieces of themselves. No spouse should have to endure the heartbreak my mom has endured. No child should have to grieve someone who is still here.
Alzheimer’s is cruel. But hope matters. Research matters. Awareness matters. And support from people like you matters more than you know.
This year, Pete and I are pledging to match every dollar donated up to $5,000, with the goal of doubling our contribution to $10,000 in 2026.
