What happens when you have 6 tables of Mah Jongg, 52 women, snacks and a good cause?
Tuesday 23rd Jun
A whole lot of laughter, concentration and shouts of ‘Mah Jongg’! Thanks to each and everyone of you for taking part in making the Citrus Hills Mah Jongg/Alzheimer’s fundraising event a huge success. We played a combined 156 hours of Mah Jongg and raised $3,515!!!
A huge thank you to Dawn Holley for stepping up and volunteering her home when all I had was a ‘crazy idea’ of how to raise money for Alzheimer’s. She not only offered her beautiful home, but rearranged furniture, provided food, snacks and beverages!
Shout out to folks in the Halls Reserve Community. Margaret, Anne, Tonya, Mary, Patricia and Joan for loaning us their MJ sets and tables. Pat, for donating the supplies for the MJ bracelets and leading Joyce, Janet, Cheri, and Donna in making the beaded bracelets.
Thank you to Patricia, Laurie and Claire for the yummy dip and desserts.
Also, thank you to the unsung heroes who supported the event through donations even though they could not attend. Your generosity helped us exceed our goal!
