MY STORY

Alzheimer’s is a tragic disease that drains families emotionally, physically, and financially.

My family is forever grateful to the Alzheimer's Association who helped us navigate a horrific case of elder abuse before my grandmother broke free from the chains of Alzheimer's in 2017 after her decade-long fight with the disease. For much of her battle, my mom was her caregiver – an often thankless and exhausting job, but one that showed me what unconditional love looks like.

The Alzheimer’s Association funds some of the most instrumental research in Alzheimer's and dementia science. With current funding of over $450M in more than 1200 projects in 56 countries, the Association is the largest nonprofit funder of research behind only the US and Chinese governments.
