Hi, my name is Benji Smith, and I'm super excited to tell you about my love for racing & how I want to help bring awareness to alzheimers in honor of our dear friend Danny,

Now, get ready for the 2026 season – it's going to be epic! I will be moving up to  Micro Sprint race car with a Yamaha 600 CC engine in the California Micro Sprint Series where we will run approximately 24 races at Delta Speedway in Stockton, Lemore Raceway in Lemore, and Park Plaza Raceway in Visalia.

I am entering my 8th season of racing; I started out racing Quarter Midgets when I was 5 years old in 2018 earning many track records and main event wins. I was the 2020 TVQMA Sportsman of the Year and won the 2021 Jr Honda Championship and 2025 Light World Formula Championship at Tri-Valley Quarter Midget Association in Livermore, CA and the 2023 and 2025 Light World Formula Championship at American Quarter Midget Association in Rancho Cordova, CA.

One of my passions that is part of my racing program is my team’s support of the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness fundraising program “DO WHAT YOU LOVE TO END ALZ”. We fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s and all other dementia through our ongoing fundraising activities. We all know families, including mine, that have someone affected by this awful disease. Last year we had Michelle Drapper from KCRA TV Sacramento come to the racetrack and do a story on my team and our journey to raise funds for “DO WHAT YOU LOVE TO END ALZ”.
