Why I fight to end Alzheimer's
When dad was alive, he participated in a clinical trail for a new drug to slow progression of dementia. It was lots of trips to Iowa City, blood work, constant tests to see how much cognition had been lost. When he died, he donated his brain for more research. He knew he would never see a cure in his lifetime, but we promised to help find one in ours. On June 20th I'll be biking 20-30 miles to help keep this promise!
I was lucky enough to attend the Alzheimer's Association's National Volunteer event this year and saw some truly amazing research presentations. We are SO CLOSE to major gamechangers.
You can help us get there by a donation of $5 or $500 or whatever you can spare, or better yet join us! Bikes, Bars, the Best humans, and saving Brains? What's not to love?
