I'm fundraising for Papa.

Dear Friends and Family,

The 2026 Camel’s Hump Challenge is especially meaningful for me, and I hope you’ll consider supporting the event once again. In recent years, I dedicated my fundraising efforts to my father-in-law Bill who bravely fought Alzheimer's disease. Papa passed away in July, so this year I'll ski in his memory. 

Papa showed us how to embrace challenge with dignity. He certainly experienced frustration with his decline, but for the most part he embraced his world with Alzheimer's with a sense of awe and positivity that was special to see. Watching the bird feeder, the clouds in the sky, or his grandchildren's  sporting events, he would most often remark "WOW.......". What a reminder to look around every day and acknowledge the wow that is around us. 

Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that affects not only those diagnosed, but also the families and loved ones alongside them. I’ve seen how much support and research matter, and how desparately we need better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. By supporting the Camel’s Hump Challenge, you’ll be helping provide critical resources for families, fund research, and advocate for those impacted by this disease. 

Any contribution, large or small, truly makes a difference. All donations go directly to the Vermont Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
