By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care and support efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. This is my fifth year doing the challenge and it has become a very meaningful event. The cause and the camaraderie are very unique and special. I currently serve on the Planning Committee and I feel very lucky to serve with a great crew of committed folks both on the committee and at the Alzheimer's Association- VT Chapter. Each year I ski with a crew of wonderful women. We love being in the woods on skis together for the day. We love doing it in honor of loved ones that have or are struggling with this tragic disease.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
