Saying Goodbye to Marian

My beautiful mother-in-law, Marian Bowman, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026. Reflecting on the light and happiness she brought into this world before she got sick, I was again reminded of how much dementia stole from her life and the lives of all who knew her. Funding research is the only way we can prevent more families like ours from losing loved ones to this devastating disease.

Event Details

Here is the reading challenge you have been waiting for! I invite you to read as many books as you can between now and January 13, 2027. We will gather at my house on January 13th to talk about the books we have read and to also learn about ways to keep our brains healthy, all while raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association. 

You can join in this fundraising effort by coming to my house on January 13th and also:
 
1) Making a donation on my fundraising page 

or (even better!) 

2) Gathering donations of your own sponsored by others who will challenge you to read the most books or pages. A link to your page will be on my page.
