My Connection With Alzheimer’s Disease

I helped my dad take care of his mom with Alzheimer’s, helped take care of my dad with Alzheimer’s (Blessed to be with him when he Transitioned.) Helped take care of my mom with Alzheimer’s and moved her in with us for 18 months. Transferred to nearby memory care for last 5 months of her life. As a result of this and having had NUMEROUS patients with cognitive issues, I have become a nurse coach specializing in support for dementia caregivers.
I understand the confusion, frustration, anger, guilt - all of the feels. Been there and done that. Unfortunately our society disregards elders and does nothing to support their caregivers.
